Beat The Medallist - Cycling Registration

Whether you have previously ridden the Olympic Velodrome or have it on your cycling ‘to do list’, there has not been a cycling challenge like this. You will have an amazing three hours centred around one sprint of a lifetime, as you have the unique challenge of beating the time set on the day by the attending GB Cycling Gold Medallist. 

rowingWith all equipment provided, you get an intensive training session under the guidance of the expert coaches and the 75-minute track session culminates in a SPRINT OF A LIFETIME where you get your name on the Olympic scoreboard as well as individual prizes. 

Beat the Medallist: 

  • The GB Rowers will set a time on the day. 
  • You also get to set a time on the day. 
  • Your 'impossible' task is aided by accruing time bonuses through your fundraising. 

Wherever you finish, you get a souvenir medal placed around your neck by an actual GB gold medallist and a photo signed by the athlete capturing that once-in-a-lifetime moment. The session culminates in a Q and A with the host medal winner. 

Your host will be drawn from GB gold medal cyclists, the last five days were hosted respectively by Elinor Barker, Philip Hindes, Shanaze Reade, Callum Skinner and Dani Rowe. Everyone goes home with exclusive event medals and signed memorabilia from the host athlete plus professional photos to give you an awesome social media timeline. 

How to gain Sporting Rewards and give yourself a chance of beating the Medallist:

rowingYou get bonuses of 0.25 seconds for every £100 donated over the reserve price. You are already more than half-way there - £80 of the sign-up cost goes towards your bonuses. 

The GB Medallist will be in touch pre-event to outline how you can get friends, colleagues, and family to help generate more time bonuses and beat their time. As for the day itself, spectators are welcome and its open to cyclists aged 13 years and above.
